Potassium carbonate is a water-soluble inorganic compound that is primarily derived from potash. It is made by a reaction between liquid caustic potash (our product) and carbon dioxide, followed by filtration and then the drying process. Potassium carbonate is widely used in fire extinguishers, to make glass, soften water, and make soap and is also used in pharmaceutical laboratories as a drying agent or as a source of potassium. It assists in maintaining a strong, regular heartbeat, digestive health and treating and preventing low amounts of potassium in the blood.
